What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than to visit a pumpkin patch or Halloween event with the kids?  There are plenty of places you can visit within the Bay Area.  Here are a few highlights.

Grandpa's Pumpkin Patch This pumpkin patch is located in Mountain View, at 455 San Antonio Road.  There are a variety of events and activities to participate in including a bounce house, hayrides, a haunted house especially designed for kids, and of course, many pumpkins to get your home in the Halloween spirit.  It is open from 9 am until 7 pm every day.  For more information, visit their website here.

Monster Bash Halloween Celebration The Mountain View Community Center is holding a Halloween celebration especially designed for kids and families on  Sunday, October 25.  The community center is located at 201 South Rengstorff Ave and crafts will begin at 5 pm.  A movie will be shown on a large projection screen at 6 pm and it will be a great way for families to spend some time together and enjoy a free activity.  To visit the City of Mountain View website for more information, click here.

San Francisco Zoo If you don't mind making the trip to San Francisco, the San Francisco Zoo has a bunch of Halloween events going on this weekend.  Tomorrow, October 23, is the Spooktacular Twilight Tour.  It is a bit expensive ($30-$40, children under 3 can attend for free), but promises to be a fun Halloween evening, including a nighttime safari and pumpkin carving.  It goes from 5 pm until 9 pm.  For more information on that event, click here.  The zoo is also having Boo at the Zoo this weekend, October 24 and 25, from 10 am - 4pm.  The cost is regular admission ($9-$15, children under 3 can attend for free), and children who are dressed up get $1 off.  Events include a Haunted Nature Trail, puppet shows all day long, crafts and more.  For more information, click here.

For a list of more fun Halloween activities and event, Pumpkin Patches and More is a great website to visit.  With all of the activities available in the Bay Area, there should be some way for every family and price range to get into the Halloween spirit!
