What CU students are doing this weekend

What the typical to-do list looks like for the weekend...

1  1. Realize that there is only one week left of school and being to panic for various reasons. These

can range from realizing that you have 200 pages left of reading for each class to panicking

because you don't have a summer internship lined up._________

My hot date this weekend? With these books.

  1. Decide to complain to your friends about the amount of work you have to do for the next week. Try to recall your friend’s names because you haven’t spoken to anyone in the past few weeks, as you have been busy with school.

    3.   Frantically write at the last minute that final paper a teacher decided to fit in before finals.

Vow to change your ways of procrastination “next time,” and swear that you will be awesome

and productive next semester. Ignore small, nagging voice in the back of your head that

suggests you say this every time.

  1. Finally talk to friends and decide to go out to the bars, since you all deserve a break after your hard work studying. Think that this is a good idea. Again, ignore voice that is gently reminding you that you also thought you deserved a break last night, and the night before that.

More than two of these=trouble. And yes, I'm a total lightweight.

  1. Wake up in the morning; spend several minutes trying to figure out what happened the night before. Look at clock, and discover that it is NOT morning, and is actually three in the afternoon.
  6. Bang head against wall; repeat steps one through five.

I was walking back to my car after interning at the Capitol yesterday afternoon.

“Hey!” I heard a voice yell.

I looked over and there were two 11-year-old boys yelling at me on the corner. I gave them a questioning look.

“My friend LIIIIKKKKESSS you,” one of the shouted.

I just smiled. How cute. And I mean really, who doesn't like me?

The other boy turned red and pushed his friend who had yelled.

“Don’t say that to her! I don't like her! She’s OLD!!”

The first signs of summer

April 16, 11:27 AM
It definitely was a beautiful day today. I skipped my first two classes, so I didn’t arrive on campus until mid-afternoon. I stepped out of my car into the sunshine and arrived on what looked like a scene from MTV’s Spring Break.   All... Read More
