On Tuesday, November 17th, Faith Maloney, co-founder of Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah will be the guest speaker at a Tucson fundraiser. The event is a benefit to raise funds for the new community spay/neuter clinic under development for Southern Arizona.

I'll be a table host for the event. Please select me as your table host when you purchase your event ticket. It doesn't oblige you to sit at my table, though I hope many of you will want to!

WHO: Guest speaker Faith Maloney, co-founder of Best Friends, America’s largest animal sanctuary and a leader in the national No More Homeless Pets movement.

WHERE: The beautiful outdoor courtyard and carriage house of the historic Zellweger "Z" Mansion in downtown Tucson (288 N. Church Ave., just southwest of Stone and Sixth Street)

WHEN: Tuesday, November 17, 7-9pm

WHAT: Join us for vegan desserts and drinks to celebrate the high-quality community spay/neuter clinic being developed by The Center for Animal Rescue and Adoption. Included with your ticket is:

  • Unlimited desserts and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Background music by The Arianna String Quartet
  • Selection of decadent cakes, pies, brownies and cookies by Lovin' Spoonfuls
  • Top-your-own cheesecake bar
  • Sumptuous fruit "frudites" with a chocolate fountain
  • Champagne toast and a cash bar with Chocolate Martinis and Champagne Mimosas along with other cocktails
  • Silent auction, featuring a selection of fine art and fun gift packages - just in time for holiday gift giving!

WHY: Proceeds benefit The Center for Animal Rescue and Adoption's new "Spay More Animals" community spay/neuter clinic. Ultimately, the goal of increasing spay/neuter is decreasing animal shelter intake. More than 35,000 dogs and cats end up in Pima County animal shelters every year. Efforts to spay more animals will help save more animals. Find out more about the new clinic.

HOW: Tickets are available at Lovin' Spoonfuls Vegetarian Restaurant at Campbell/Blacklidge (cash/check only) or online (use Visa, MasterCard, Discover,  or American Express via Paypal). The tickets are $65 each, which is the average price of a "low-cost" spay/neuter surgery in our community right now. So, for every ticket, you're sponsoring a spay/neuter surgery and supporting our new high-quality spay/neuter clinic for rescues, shelters and the public, opening early next year. Thanks for helping us Spay It Forward!
