On Saturday, the Arizona Fall League will showcase the best of the best young prospects in Minor League Baseball. The showcase will compile two teams of 25 which includes prospects from all 30 organizations.
Former Fresno Grizzlies catcher Buster Posey was the lone representative chosen to this showcase from the San Francisco Giants organization. He is one of only two catchers selected for the Eastern Division roster This is no surprise to see Posey's name on the roster one week following his Minor League Player of the Year Award. Joining Posey on the Eastern Division are future stars Stephen Strasburg of the Washington Nationals, Jemile Weeks of the Oakland A's and Matt Dominguez of the Florida Marlins.
