Here’s a twist on the kid classic, worms in dirt. The kids’ version is gummy worms in chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos.

This version modifies the kid classic dessert for an adult Halloween party. With a little liqueur it becomes a wonderful Halloween parfait for an adult Halloween party. 

Worm in Dirt – The Adult Version

2  4oz. boxes of instant chocolate pudding prepared to directions on package
½ lb* of Oreos (or other chocolate sandwich cookies) – crushed
1  4oz. package gummy worms
¼ cup of Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
4 tablespoons Godiva Chocolate Liqueur

*this is ½ of a one-pound package

4 12oz. wine glasses

After the pudding has set, stir in the ¼ cup of liqueur. Set aside

Place four worms in the bottom of each glass.
Pour 1 tablespoon of liqueur in each glass.
In each glass, cover the worms with two tablespoons of the crushed cookies.
Fill each glass 1/3 of the way with the pudding.
Place another 2 tablespoons of the crushed cookies on top of the pudding in each glass.
Pour the remaining pudding evenly among the four glasses.
Top each glass with 2 tablespoons crushed cookies and 2 gummy worms.
Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
