The final day of voluntary camp concluded on Saturday with some very notable occurances.
Offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye spoke to the media also and said that there isn't a timetable for the decision of starting quarterback. If a decision can be made by training camp, that would be great. But if the team needs to wait until preseason, then they will do just that.
Hill's record of having bad practices won't be a negative in Raye's decsion on the starting quarterback. And on Davis' dyslexia, Raye mentioned that he has not encountered anything from Davis that has him concerned yet.
Defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said that the team will go to a 3-4 scheme this year. He said that he was content with the linebackers on the team, which was one of the reasons why the team didn't feel the need to select on in the draft.
Reggie Smith will continue to get a lot of playing time at safety while Isaac Sopoaga, Aubrayo Franklin and Kentwan Balmer will rotate at the nose tackle position.
From what we've seen, it looks like the team will be feeling out the players on the roster. In time we should get a better idea of each player's role as training camp rolls around.
