The Steelers might have to answer to the Law  in the Wild West on Monday night as a familiar face,  Alliquippa native Ty Law was just signed by the Broncos and is expected to see action.

"They are trying to get me ready to play, and I came back last year and did the same thing," Law said. "Right now they are shoving a lot down my throat because the terminology is a lot different. I came here just to play and help these guys."

Law, now in his15th-year has played for the New York Jets (2008, ‘05), Kansas City (2006-07) and New England (1995-2004). He entered the NFL with the Patriots as the 23rd overall pick in the 1995 NFL Draft from the University of Michigan.

"I was semi retired basically," Law said "I was working out and in touch with a few teams, and It finally did happen and I had to jump on it, because I know a lot of these guys here. I played with them with the Patriots. So after I talked with some of them and Champ Bailey. I said I'm coming."

Named to the Pro Bowl four times with the Patriots (1998, 2001-03) and once with the Jets (2005), Law owns three Super Bowl rings from his time with New England (2001, ‘03-04).

"Obviously they already have a lot of good people in place," Law said of signing with the Broncos. "They are hungry and they are winning and I won a few championships with Josh in New England. I think this team is doing great and playing very good football."

He has appeared in 196 career regular-season games (187 starts), totaling 835 tackles (699 solo), five sacks (33 yds.), 52 interceptions (791 yds., 7 TDs), 164 pass breakups, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. His 58 total interceptions (52 regular season, 6 postseason) for his career tie for 16th in NFL history and lead all active cornerbacks. His 52 career interceptions in regular-season play tie for 23rd in league annals and are the most by a current player at his position.

Law has started all 16 games in three of the last four seasons, including during the 2005 campaign with the Jets when he tied for the NFL lead with a career-high 10 interceptions to earn Pro Bowl accolades. Last year, he saw time in seven games (6 starts) with the Jets after joining the club midway through the season and had 19 tackles (14 solo), two pass breakups and one forced fumble.

"It's been an exciting week, I just had the birth of my girl last Tuesday," he said. "And I'm happy to be here. Right now I'm trying to get used to this air."

When it comes to facing the Steelers, the offense was on fire during the month of October as the team boasted a 4-0 slate.

GAME NUGGETS

The Steelers have converted 21 of their 23 attempts (13 touchdowns, eight field goals) in the red zone into points in 2009. The Steelers had a streak of scoring 10 straight touchdowns in trips to the red zone, but it was snapped with a 32-yard field goal by K Jeff Reed in Week 6 versus the Cleveland Browns.

The Broncos have won both AFC Special Teams Player of the Month awards this year with K Matt Prater (September) and WR/KR Eddie Royal (October) earning those accolades. Royal became only the 11th player in NFL history to score a touchdown on a kickoff (93 yds.) and a punt return (71 yds.) in the same game  at San Diego on Oct. 19.

The Broncos are one of eight original American Football League teams celebrating their 50th season in 2009.Denver’s 409 overall wins are second among all original AFL teams and rank seventh among all clubs since 1960.During the Pat Bowlen era (1984-Pres.), the Broncos have won more regular-season games(249) than any team in the NFL...

Ryan Clark still listed as questionable for the game. Well that was the official word from the Steelers as of Saturday, meaning he could still play. Dont expect it though, instead look for Tyrone Carter to step in along with Ryan Mundy.
