Award-winning author Jonathan Safran Foer's latest novel Eating Animals is garnering the attention of critics, and the praise of activists and celebrities like Natalie Portman and Ellen DeGeneres. His case for ethical vegetarianism is compelling, as it explores the many fictions we use to justify our eating habits.

Foer began writing Eating Animals after learning he was to become a father. In an interview with DeGeneres, Foer said he set out on a mission to find out where our food comes from because he realized he would be making food decisions on behalf on his child.
