If you're like many of the people here in the Inland Empire, money is tight.
With less money coming in for many households, reducing costs has become a necessity. Many families are not aware they may qualify for are lower gas and electric rates.

CARE/FERA program
Southern California Edison offers several programs to help lower your bill like the CARE/FERA program that offers a huge 20% discount for income qualified families. A family of 4 can make up to $43,200 annually.

Southern California Gas Co. also offers a wide range of programs including the CARE program with similar requirements.

Riverside Public Utilities and other companies
If you have a different utility company LIHEAP Clearinghouse has a comprehensive list of requirements for all of them in Southern California.

We all know conserving energy will save money. A great resource by the California Energy Commission is here.

Older homes waste huge amounts of energy because of drafts. The good news is both the gas and electric companies have programs to help you weatherproof your home.
