ALBANY, NY -- Sicilian food and wine as known in this country isn't necessarily synonymous with Italian cuisine.
The differences will become apparent during a special dinner scheduled for Sunday, November 22, at Café Capriccio, 49 Grand Street.
Chef Franco Rua’s Sicilian-influenced menu will be paired with six Sicilian wines. The menu includes fennel and orange salad, roasted tomatoes with ricotta salata, eggplant Siciliana, sopressata with roasted peppers, calamari and mussel salad, spaghetti alla San Teodoro, roasted lamb and torta Caprese.
The meal will cost $75 per person, plus tax and tip. Reservations, which are required, may be made by calling (518) 465-0439.
