Thirsty Thursdays around LoDo
Thursdays have become the new Saturday for the 20-something crowd. Many establishments are now catering to this ever popular drinking night by providing a slew of specials. If you’re in the mood for a little boot, scoot, and boogie, The Cowboy Lounge (1941 Market Street) tops the list on Thirsty Thursdays with its Ladies Night. Every Thursday ladies pay no cover and drink for free all night long. The CL plays a variety of modern country as well as hip hop dance songs. It is jam packed with ladies getting their dance on. The guys of course come in swarms to check out the “scenery” although they will have to pay for their cover and drinks. This scene is definitely a lot of fun. Definitely a younger, college aged crowd that can get a little rowdy but nonetheless a good place to dance the night away.
Another great place to catch some great drink specials on Thursdays is the Sports Column (1930 Blake Street). From 9pm- close it is $1 You Call Its with a $5 admission fee at the door. The line is usually around the corner so get there early! Sports Column is really big with two downstairs bar areas as well as an upstairs patio (if it’s not too cold).
Finally, Jackson’s (1520 20th Street) offers $10 all you can drink from 9pm-12pm. This place is always hopping and draws a really fun crowd.
