As the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour 2009 wrapped up its season and determined their #1 female player, the fans had a chance to voice their opinions all year long by visiting the profiles of these amazing tennis stars.
Los Angeles native, Serena Williams came in third overall for most visited profile—despite being ranked the #1 player in the WTA. Ms. Williams is an 11 time Grand Slam Singles Champion who beat out her sister Venus to claim the 2009 champion’s crown. Sister Venus’ profile was the number eight most visited on the WTA site and she is a seven time Grand Slam Singles champ.
Coming in second was Dinara Safina who actually held the #1 spot for 26 weeks before conceding the first place spot to Caroline Wozniacki. No matter who your particular WTA favorite might be, you can get plenty of fitness inspiration (and perhaps contribute to deciding who the favorite will be for 2010!) by checking out the videos of your favorite WTA players
