Online seller forums are a great place for sellers to gather, chat and share information about ecommerce. Sellers forums are gaining in popularity in large part because of the changes that have been going on with eBay and sellers want to discuss these changes and what they might mean for the average Mom and Pop seller.
Three of the best forums out there are Power Sellers Unite (www.powersellersunite.com), Tamebay (www.tamebay.com) and Pheebay (www.pheebay.com).
Powersellers Unite (or PSU) is probably the largest, liveliest and most socially oriented of these sites. In addition to being a forum for sellers to get together, they offer hosting services for sellers looking to sell outside of multi-seller websites and set up their own ecommerce website.
Tamebay and Pheebay are UK based sellers forums which also provide a lot of great information and news about selling online but are not as fast paced as PSU. Tamebay and Pheebay are more in the vein of Joe Friday, "Just the Facts".
As with any sellers forum, there will be a few people extolling the virtues of their sites. It would even appear that some sites go as far to make it a point to "assign" members to these forums to keep their site in the spotlight by constantly updating threads with the most trivial bits of information. As with anything, when you visit these sites, do not be influenced by overly-enthusiastic site supporters but ask your own questions and do your own research instead of taking someone's word, whether it be negative or positive comments about a site. Look beyond the hype and you will gain a wealth of information from some of the most professional and experienced sellers in the internet.
