
Free Day at National Parks, Forests on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2009
In honor of Veterans Day, tomorrow, November 11, 2009. The national parks and forests are waiving entrance fees, including to some of our California favorite parks like Yosemite National Park, in honor of our Veterans, servicemen and servicewomen. According to the press release:
“Visitors to public recreation lands managed by the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation are invited to take a day to honor and reflect on what our service men and women have done to maintain our freedom and keep peace around the world … “
What: Free day at National Parks, Forests. (Camping, permits and other fees will still apply.)
