Last week, Ashlee Simpson was fired from Melrose Place, along with co-star Colin Egglesfield. There have even been rumors that Heather Locklear was the one behind the deed, because she didn't want to be overshadowed. Regardless of the reason, the Texas native is out of a job, and her big sis Jessica is not happy about it.
Jessica has taken her anger to her Twitter page, venting to her closest 1,754,362 friends. And what does she have to say? "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press." (That's a direct quote. I added the period at the end for editing's sake.)
That was followed by another doozy. "Watch til Jan.. :) RT @mrandrewjpham:@JessicaSimpson ashlee was too good for that show and was the ONLY reason I watched, and won't anymore!" If you take a stab at deciphering that one, it seems that Jessica is encouraging a fan to hold out and keep watching until Ashlee's last episode airs sometime in January.
As for what Ashlee has planned now, US Weekly says she's going to focus on acting. Jessica will probably update us all as soon as she's got something definite in the works. In the meantime, you can watch what's left of Ashlee's episodes of Melrose Place on The CW 39 in Houston.
