Tonight (Tuesday, Nov. 10) marked night number one for Walt Disney World's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas parties at the the Magic Kingdom theme-park.
Meanwhile, in Universal Studios' side of town the Christmas fun is still a little while away.
Unlike Disney who celebrated its final Halloween party on Nov. 1 and just nine days later (Nov. 10) hosted its first Christmas party, Universal Studios finished off their Halloween Horror Nights and are holding off most of their Christmas festivities until the month of December, the month that actually hosts the holiday.
Of Universal's holiday offerings, their Macy's Holiday Parade is likely the most celebrated and begins making its way down Universal's streets on December 5 and closes on New Years Day.
Other offerings at Universal Studios include the Holiday Concert Series kicked off by Mannheim Steamroller on Dec. 5, KidZone Holiday Show, Barney's Christmas Show, and Blues Brother's Christmas Show.
From Dec. 26 until New Years Eve, Universal will celebrate the arrival of 2010 with Universal 360- A Cinesphere Spectacular, a nighttime show.
Next door at Universal's Islands of Adventure, the holidays are all about the grinch, but the festivities also begin on Dec. 5, running until New Years' Day. The main offering in this park is Grinchmas. For more information on that, click here.
Back to the wonderful world of Disney and Christmas, as mentioned, in already running on select nights at the Magic Kingdom and The Osbourne Spectacle of Dancing Lights began its daily appearances at Disney's Hollywood Studios today as well.
Similarly, Disney's Animal Kingdom will begin it's Jingle Jungle Parade on Friday, Nov. 13, alongside it's Christmas-themed Adventure Begins park-opening show.
EPCOT is the only land in the Mouse's domain that has delayed its celebration, though many decorations are already up (just like the other three parks). EPCOT's Holidays Around the World and Candlelight Processional will commence following Thanksgiving on Friday, Nov. 27.
