Spooky off the Strip spots to celebrate Halloween

Red Rock Casino will host many Halloween events this week
In addition to all of the Halloween happenings on the Las Vegas Strip this week, you can also get a taste of the year's spookiest celebrations at off the Strip locations:
- Aliante Station, located at the very north end of town, will have a "Wizard of Oz"-themed party on Friday, hosted by classic rock tribute band Yellow Brick Road. There will be a "Dirty Dorothy" contest as well as drink specials for those in costume. On Halloween, '80s metal rockers Steel Panther will host Hell-O-Ween, with costume contests and drink specials for those in costume. Both events will be held inside the Access Showroom. - Located about 10 minutes east of the Strip, Green Valley Ranch will host a Slumber Party Massacre on Friday and a Sinners Ball on Halloween, both inside Ovation. The resort's Drop Bar will be transformed into the Drop "Dead" Bar and will host a Thriller party on Halloween with costume contests and a Michael Jackson tribute band. - Red Rock Resort is located about 20 minutes west of the Strip, and will host a Cherry Bomb Zombie Prom Wednesday night at CHERRY Nightclub, featuring an open bar from 10-11pm for zombies. There will be a zombie costume contest with $1,000 in cash and prizes. Over the weekend, CHERRY Nightclub will host The Fangbangers Ball, with performances by Rapper Mickey Avalon on Friday and Shiny Toy Guns on Saturday. Tickets for each night can be purchased here. - Check out the Monster Mash Bash at Texas Station Friday night, featuring performances by local bands and drink specials. There will also be a live performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show Saturday night, with a $10 admission. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from the film, and there will be costume contests and drink specials. Both events will be held inside South Padre. - PT's and Sierra Gold locations throughout the valley will host the Third Annual Wicked Costume Contest on Friday starting at 8pm. All guests who come in costume to any of the 35 PT's or Sierra Gold locations will receive their first Halloween shot on the house. Drink specials will be offered, and there will also be costume contests at each location. Click here for a list of locations.
- Frankie's Tiki Room, located just west of the Strip, will host a Zombie party on Halloween. Guests wearing zombie costumes will receive a complimentary Zombie cocktail, as well as a DVD selected from a wide variety of zombie-themed films. Get more info here.
