UPDATE: The Red Dirt Rodeo Cowboy Association has now spread to 13 states including New Mexico, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa and now Indiana!!!!

…The sounds of the bulls snorting, clinging of the gates as the rough stock trod through the pens to the chute, the cowboy mounts his draw and yells “Let’s Ride”…the chute opens and the crowd roars!! The cowbell clanks from below the bull’s chest as the crowd yells with excitement, red arena dirt flies through the air! 8 seconds later the buzzer sounds and the cowboys ride’s that last buck then lands on the arena floor! “Good ride, cowboy, good ride…puts you in the money with a 94!”…

The Red Dirt Rodeo Cowboys Association has a certain niche in the rodeo entertainment industry. Yes there are other rodeo organizations out there, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA), both of which have been long established and the RDRCA is very proud to shadow in their footsteps. But what sets the Red Dirt Rodeo Cowboys Association (RDRCA) apart from them, is the fact that our roots stay right in Oklahoma, Red Dirt central! Add the fact that each and every one of our rodeo’s end in a concert performed by talent from the “Red Dirt” genre of music and we have a pride and dedication that runs far deeper than the others! So not only do our spectators get to enjoy the thrill of the rodeo, but also the excitement of the concert that follows!! Talented acts such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Stoney LaRue, Kevin Fowler, Stage County, Reba McIntire, Garth Brooks, Jack Rowdy, Toby Keith and the list goes on, are all invited to be a part of the concert series!

From North Texas to Wichita, KS, from Amarillo to Ft. Smith and all over Oklahoma, Cowboys and Cowgirls will compete in monthly rodeos for points on the Road to the Finals! With over $350,000 in money and prizes offered throughout the year, attendance will be in record numbers...both in spectators and contestants! At the end of the year, we will bring back the best of the best to compete in the Finals, some may remember the good old days when the National Finals Rodeo were held here in Oklahoma City and how local businesses and the economy flourished…before they moved to Las Vegas, that is.

The RDRCA is a membership-based association open to all who want to join and participate. They offer all major events: Bull riding, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, and Bullfighting in our rodeos. In addition, there are specialty acts, children’s events such as mutton busting, and various parades at certain rodeos. At each rodeo, a specific charity will be designated and a portion of the proceeds will go towards that charity. Throughout the year, the RDRCA will offer college scholarships to eligible member’s children and special needs as available. Their goal is to give back where they can to improve the communities they serve!!
