While the football team endures hard times at the end of its season, the basketball teams have yet to get a loss.

Tulsa (4-0) men beat South Alabama, 84-62, Saturday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center, while the Golden Hurricane (2-0) women rout LaSalle, 62-39 earlier in the day.

Jerome Jordan led TU in the men’s game with a career-high 21 points and Steven Idlett got 10 points and 13 rebounds, the first double-double for his career.

A 12-0 run by the Golden Hurricane broke a 23-23 late in the first half and boosted the home team to a 42-29 lead at intermission.

Next on the agenda is Loyola-Marymount, who comes to town Tuesday. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

TU was dominant in the women’s game as it scored six points in the first 1:05 and a 22-8 run in the first 10 minutes.

The Golden Hurricane was up 34-21 at halftime.

Larrissa Williams led with 20 points and Taleya Mayberry had 13 points.

Tulsa will travel to Ft. Myers, Fla. to play Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. Tipoff is at 6 p.m. Tulsa time.
