The par five 15th at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes in Lake Mary, FL, is one of those golf holes that really gets your juices flowing when you step onto the tee box.
Excitement rises as you sense that a big drive following the left-to-right dogleg could leave you in position to have a go at the green in two.
Fear pokes its ugly head as you stare straight out toward a lake fronted by a thin bunker, either one of which could gobble up a straightaway tee shot.
Hopefully a sense of calm fills your veins as you soak in the beauty, choose a strategy and try to execute whichever option you choose.
Assuming your tee shot has found the fairway, you have more choices on your second shot, thanks to a large oak tree in the middle of the fairway, standing stoically between you and the green. There is very little room to the right of it, so you either go over it or fire to the left of it, where fairway bunkers await a stray shot.
The large, rolling green has a bit of a false front, but will also fall away from you and take long shots with it, so be precise on your club selection on your third. And avoid the deep bunker on the left.
Playing 557 yards from the tournament tees, 502 from the regular tees down to 404 from the front markers, this is a terrific risk/reward par 5 by Tom Fazio most worthy of GolfOrlando's Feature Hole Of The Week.
