Making your baby’s food at home allows you full control over what you put into your baby’s sensitive tummy. Not only are you able to control avoiding the additives, you also are able to control the quality of the ingredients used. Making your own baby food allows you to create wonderful recipes that are not sold in a jar at your local grocery store and does not limit your baby’s taste buds. Healthy eating habits develop at a young age and will last your child for a lifetime.
Turkey Porridge
1 Turkey Leg (remove skin)
1 Sweet Potato (peeled and diced)
1 Cup Jasmine Rice
3 Cups water
Place all the ingredients in a small pot and bring to a boil. (Add more water if you would like the consistency of the Porridge to be runnier)
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
Strip the meat off of the turkey leg and remove the bone from the pot.
You may serve this as-is or puree to desired consistency.
