Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew is a new VH1 television show tackling celebrity sex addiction and premieres Sunday, November 1.
A full episode summary from VH1 describes the first episode:
At night, Drew calls a house meeting and lays down the ground rules - no masturbation, no seductive behavior, and of course, no sex. For Kendra adapting to rehab is proving to be difficult. Now almost a full day without her husband, Kendra breaks down and wonders if she's going to be able to make it. After only a day in rehab, Kendra and the rest of the sex addicts are extraordinarily fragile and emotional. They are about to take on one of the toughest experiences of their lives and it's anyone guess if they can make it through 21 days of intense treatment without their drug of choice: sex.
Led by Dr. Drew Pinksy and Jill Vermeire, MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist), the cast will include:
Kendra Jade (model/dancer) was "sexually abused starting at age 2, and was raped in her teens." She has been involved in pornography, and is alcoholic. She left porn and married Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova) and she now manages his career, along with running an "animal rescue."
Jennifer Ketcham aka Penny Flame (adult entertainer) Successful porn/webcam actor, who freelances as a dominatrix, and is addicted to masturbation. Her life has become unmanageable and she feels empty and alone.
James Lovett ("professional surfer") An "internationally ranked" skimboarder surfer and snowboarder; raised in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, James' addiction has led to his sleeping with friend's wives and sleeping with multiple women at a time. He is "into hardcore porn" and is "afraid of losing his sponsorships."
Nicole Narain (model, actress, Playboy Playmate) "Molested as a child and raped in her teens," Nicole has appeared in music videos with stars LL Cool J and "RL" to name a few. She was in a relationship with actor Colin Farrell and an internet sex tape was released. Nicole turned to drugs and alcohol. She also has a masturbation addiction and is afraid of letting people get close to her.
Kari Ann Peniche (a former beauty queen) Kari Ann won the Miss United States Teen title, but was stripped of it after she appeared in the November 2004 issue of Playboy Magazine. "From ages 4 to 8, she was molested by numerous men. She was also raped at ages 14 and 17." She has a problem with intimacy.
Duncan Roy (producer/writer/director) "Sexually abused for most of his childhood, and at a very young age started an ongoing affair with a much older man," Duncan Roy is a producer, writer and director of feature films and commercials. He has gone to rehab for an addiction to cocaine, and been sober ever since, but now has an internet porn addiction.
Amber Smith (actress/model) Formerly on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and yet another Playboy model, Amber Smith is also a recovering drug addict, who used sex to get drugs. After she became clean she developed a sex addiction, stalking men "who resemble her father."
Phil Varone (musician) Phil Varone is a rock musician/drummer (Skid Row) who estimates that he has slept with over 3000 women. He is a recovering cocaine addict with a sex addiction that grew with the death of his mother eleven years ago. He is looking for a committed relationship.
The show "will look at the struggles and treatment of those dealing with serious sex addictions."
