According the University of Miami's Psychology Department, 1 out of 20 in the populace is afflicted with bipolar disorder. That's roughly 5%. Of that 5%, 1% exhibit signs of extreme bipolar disorder. Anyone associated with someone in the latter 1% can tell you the relationship is turbulent to say the least.

There are roughly over 800 people in Miami Beach today walking around with extreme bipolar disorder. There are roughly 4,000 more with some form or another of the same disorder. And according to the Archives of General Psychiatry bipolar disorder has increased 40 fold in children from 1994 to 2003.

What is perhaps the common denominator for such a rise in health disorder? Well, we are what we eat. Genetically modified foods, sugar enriched treats, hydrolyzed oils, high fructose and of course pollution along with synthetic drugs are, in my opinion, largely to blame.

Alternative experts agree, first get rid of the heavy metals in your body (detox), and then feed your body organic foods along with natural herbs and extracts; alkalize!

Who knows, alkalizing your body and changing your diet could not only reduce your chances of becoming bipolar, but reverse it and a myriad of other disorders as well.
