More than 5000 fans are expected to join family and friends at former NFL star Steve McNair's funeral at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Whites Creek, Tennesee, on Thursday night. Services begin at 7 p.m., following a vewing that starts at 3:45 p.m., according to a report in the Tennesseean.
Fans lined up earlier Thursday morning for a viewing at the Lewis & Wright funeral home, but many were disappointed to discover that the casket was closed at the family's request. It is expected to be closed for the afternoon viewing as well.
Police are asking drivers to avoid Interstate 24 this afternoon unless they're attending the visitation or funeral at Mt. Zion church.
