David Carradine 1936-2009

Hats off to National Post writer Adam McDowell for researching and reporting six David Carradine film that are currently in post-production. (The film he was shooting in Thailand is not yet finished and is not included on this list.) Soon we can add these indie films to Mr. Carradine's extensive filmography:

Autumn:  Horror movie based on the novel series by David Moody. The film will screen at the Banff World Television Festival, which starts Sunday. Producers are reportedly offering it to TV execs.

Detention:  Low-budget thriller about high school students sent to detention, where their punishment is death. Mr. Carradine plays the principal.

Su Qi-Er (True Legend):  Mandarin-language martial arts film directed by the fight choreographer from "Kill Bill." Co-stars former Bond girl Michelle Yeoh.

Six Days in Paradise:  No info about plot. Co-stars Michael Madsen from "Kill Bill" and one of Maxim's sexiest women, Joanna Krupa.

Money to Burn:  Again, no plot info. Again, co-stars Michael Madsen.

Night of the Templar: Thriller. Mr. Carradine plays a kindly shopkeeper who *spoiler alert* gets into a major sword fight at the end of the movie.

It ain't over 'til it's over.

RIP Grasshopper.
