Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who has been on leave since January but did not disclose his medical condition, had a liver transplant two months ago in Tennessee and expects to return to work on a part-time basis at the end of June, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Apple shareholders have criticized the company for not being completely forthright about the nature and extent of Mr. Jobs' medical problems. Apple stock seems to rise and fall with it's leader's health. But some Apple directors did know about the surgery and were briefed weekly by Mr. Job's doctor, the report said.
Apple spokeswoman Katie Cotton told the Journal:
Steve continues to look forward to returning at the end of June, and there's nothing further to say," .
We're thrilled that Mr. Jobs is doing so well and we wish him the very best on his return to work.
