Miss California Carrie Prejean — who lost her bid for the Miss USA title after saying marriage should only be between a man and a woman — is now in the middle of a scandal that could cost her the state beauty title as well.
A racy photo of her wearing nothing but a skimpy pair of pink underwear appeared on The Dirty and instantly spread all over the Internet. The site teased:
Self-proclaimed bible thumper Miss California, Carrie Prejean, should start pointing the finger at herself for her own indiscretions. TheDirty.com has received exclusive images of the homophobic debutante that would clearly strip her of her Miss California crown.
The site claims to have five more photos, according to an E! News report. E! says the beauty queen's contract prohibits her from being "photographed in a state of partial or total nudity." She issued a statement defending the photos as an attack on her "integrity as a woman."
I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid website that openly mocks me for my Christian faith.
"I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others' opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks."
The teen photos were taken before her boob job, which was financed by the Miss California pageant to give the state queen a better chance at winning the national title. Keith Lewis, the co-director of the state pageant, admitted it on the "Early Show." He told Maggie Rodriguez:
We assisted when Carrie came to us and voiced the interest in having the procedure done. We want to put her in the best possible confidence in order to present herself in the best possible light on a national stage."
Ah, the triple-scandal. Fake boobs, anti-gay, teen porn. Somewhere, Perez Hilton is twirling his mustache. Well, he would if he had one.
