In a season finale that looked more like the Jerry Springer show than "The Bachelor," Seattle single dad Jason Mesnick dumped Michigan career girl Molly Malaney, proposed to former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft, then came back on the show to dump Melissa because he couldn't stop thinking about Molly.
Is he looking for a job on the soaps or is he just shallow, ethically bankrupt and clueless?
His whole shtick was being a smarmy single dad from Seattle, a nice guy who got hurt by mean women. But of course nice guys don't humiliate their fiancees on national TV and then try to get the world to sympathize with them just because they cry at the drop of a hat.
And what's with Molly taking him back? Is she for real or is it all just a setup for when Jason gets back together with DeAnna Pappas, who dumped him for snowboarder Jesse Csincsak on "The Bachelorette" then flew to New Zealand to say it was all a big mistake?
Memo to ABC: If we're going to watch a prime-time soap, we want way better actors who are way better looking than the hormone-ridden amateurs on "The Bachelor."
And one more thing: If we're going to watch a reality show, we want to be able to vote on the winners.
Meanwhile, you tell us: Is Jason Mesnick a hopeless romantic or a clueless jerk?
