Findings from Jett Travolta's autopsy will not be made public unless parents John Travolta and Kelly Preston decide to release them — and the Ministry of Heath in the Bahamas told TMZ that may never happen. Under Bahamian law, only the family has authority to release autopsy results to the public.
The final report could take up to two weeks to complete unless a definitive cause of death is immediately found, according to Fox News.
Dr. Cyril Wecht, who performed his autopsy on Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith alongside the Bahamanian coroner, told Fox that if the fall itself caused Jett's death, they will know that right away. But he said that would surprise him.
Usually a fall to the floor does not result in death. There is usually not enough velocity from a fall of that short a distance. ... [Kawasaki Syndrome] has a very low death rate, but it can cause sudden death by aneurysm. ... But if it’s a convulsive seizure disorder, they won’t find anything. There is nothing of significance to find, anatomically speaking. The only way you can make that diagnosis is if you rule out everything else, including drugs in a toxicology report. If that is the case, that could take a couple of weeks.” The family has not yet said whether they will make the findings public.
