Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has cancelled his spot on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" tonight because of Hurricane Ike, which hit the ground in Texas last night.
The show will go on, but Obama will focus on only one thing: responding to the hurricane. He has stopped all campaigning for the moment.
"Obama offered to do whatever he can to help, including using the Obama web site to raise funds for relief efforts," a spokesperson said.
Back in New York, SNL alum Tina Fey is "likely" to entertain the nation with her impersonation of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, the Associated Press reports.
