American TV networks have banned a steamy commercial for Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession perfume in which Eva Mendes appears naked. You can see one nipple for a nanosecond, which apparently is the line that was crossed.
(We're showing the ad here courtesy of CelbriNet because all the other sources have withdrawn the video. Hopefully this one will escape the censors.)
Eva's fine with the ban, according to the Huffington Post:
Eva admitted she was "thrilled" that the ad was considered too saucy for US broadcast.
Eva, 33, said: "I love it. That means the ads are totally Calvin, totally provocative and a little controversial."
She continued: "In the commercial you'll see me rolling around in bed a lot, that's basically all I do. I have been a fan of Calvin Klein's Obsession ads since I can remember."
Eva has obviously gotten more comfortable with people seeing her naked. When she appeared nude last year in "We Own The Night," she told interviewers she was worried about what her father might think.
"I told my dad. I said, 'Dad, Poppy you cannot be there on time. Nobody can.' It's a tough one. I understand. It premiered in Cannes and I'm sitting there in the audience and I was like, 'Oh my God, no that's me. Oh my God, oh my God. That's me. That's my boob, that's my boob.' "
Yes it is, Eva. It's definitely your boob. And thanks to YouTube, America is seeing it again.
