Star: Miley Cyrus wants parents to raise her allowance from $100 a week

It's hard to believe that a superstar who earns more than $25 million a year only gets $100 a week spending money, but that's all Miley Cyrus gets from her parents, according to Star. And she wants more.
The Star reports that 16-year-old Miley's mom and dad, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, take care of the basics and give her $100 a week for incidentals. But now that she's dating 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gaston, the "Hannah Montana" star supposedly wants more spending money. Ten times more. The Star says she wants $1000 a week.
We have no idea why dating would require more money. (Isn't the guy supposed to pay?) But we get that a girl needs more, you know, lipstick and perfume when she's got a huge crush.
A grand a week is a lot o' lipstick, but we're not judging.
We can appreciate Tish and Billy Ray trying to instill a sense of responsibility in their daughter, but couldn't they compromise a little? We're thinking split the difference and give Miley $500 a week. After all, she does work for it.
