Shanna Moakler is seriously upset that voters passed Proposition 8, which revises the California state constitution to require that marriage be between a man and a woman.
Here's what she wrote on her MySpace page:
today I went and had lunch with my girlfriend and when I was leaving I got caught in traffic, I was actually right in front of the mormon church and the protestors had gathered and were out against prop 8, as I sat kinda watching everyone and there was about 30 news trucks, about 20 cops on motorcycles came up right behind my car and started blocking the roads... I honked in support of the protestors and tried to cut up some roads to wilshire where I landed in front of the federal building and if I thought it was crazy in front of the mormon church, it was hopping at the federal building... at this point I just sucked it up that I was gonna be in the car for the next 20 hours, normally the LA road rage would have started to take effect in about 10 min or so, but it was actually really amazing to see all the people in the streets, and feel the energy, I think it's damaging that people have to fight such a proposition but at the same time it was so awe inspiring to see Americans finally using their voices and not just wanting change but demanding it. It made me proud and I really felt with the out come of the election and seeing all the people today that we as a society might really be able to see change. it was as we New Englanders would say "wicked awesome"
