"Dancing With the Stars" competitor Brooke Burke confirmed this morning that Olympic gold medalist Misty May Treanor will be off the show for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.
Brooke told a Los Angeles radio station that it's all over for Misty.
"It's such a sad situation. She did hurt her Achilles tendon. I don't know if she tore it or ruptured it. She's out of the competition. Just like that, it's over for her."
Misty's bad fortune could be a lucky break for Kim Kardashian, who might return to DWTS to replace her, according to the New York Post.
Kim was "inconsolable" after getting the boot from viewers last week, People said:
Once the cameras were off, Kardashian rushed to the waiting arms of her family and immediately broke down into tears."
We'll have to tune in tonight to find out. "Dancing With the Stars" competition airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC. The results show airs Tuesday at 8 p.m.
