You have to wonder how three grown men were allegedly kidnapped by Lindsay Lohan (she's 5-foot-5 and weighs about as much as a small celery stick) — not mention why they didn't file suit until a year and three months after the incident supposedly occurred.
Lindsay's attorney, Ed McPherson, thinks he gets it:
It's three guys who want to get a lot of headlines and want to make some money."
Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter and Dante Nigro filed suit against Lindsay last week. Their claims include battery, false imprisonment and negligence, acording to the Associated Press. They say Lindsay took over an SUV belonging to one of them to chase her recently fired assistant.
According to TMZ, the three men claim Lindsay held them hostage and endangered their lives. Their lawsuit alleges that Lindsay was "hostile," said she "didn't care about the risk of death," and declared "she was a celebrity...she could do whatever she wants."
OK, that's not so good, but we still have a huge question: Just how did little Lindsay overpower those three grown men and hold them hostage? She was unarmed.
Her attorney says:
It just doesn't make sense. They had ample opportunity to get out of the car.
We're not saying Lindsay behaved like an angel. Far from it. She ended up pleading guilty to being under the influence of cocaine, serving a whopping 84 minutes in jail and going into rehab.
We do think people should pay consequences for their behavior. But we just don't see how those guys could have been kidnapped and held hostage by a tiny, unarmed girl.
Fortunately it's not up to us to decide. The Santa Monica court will figure that out. But we want to know what you think about the whole thing. Are they golddiggers? Or should Lindsay pay up and shut up?
