Laurence Fishburne ready to sign deal as new CSI star

Laurence Fishburne is set to replace William Peterson as star of CSI next season, according to TV Guide. But he won't be the new boss. He'll play a DNA expert who comes into the CSI as an outsider, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler revealed.
Here's the twist: As a DNA expert, he has identified a common profile among serial killers — in his own genes.
Petersen will continue as an executive producer and will do occasional special appearances.
