Bernie Mac isn't dead, he's in the hospital fighting pneumonia

Contrary to many news reports, Bernie Mac is not dead. He is in a Chicago hospital being treated for severe pneumonia, his rep told People.
Bernie has battled an inflammatory lung disease known as sarcoidosis but that has been in remission since 2005. His pneumonia is not related to it, his rep said.
Bernie is reportedly responding well to treatment.
