Which is worse: (a) a married father having an affair with his 18-year-old assistant or (b) a married father spending $3000 a month on Internet porn? Peter Cook, has admitted to both, but he says neither is as bad as a public divorce trial. It's Christie Brinkley who is the villain, if you believe Cook's attorneys.
"Peter has apologized. He's cried his eyes out," attorney Norman Sheresky told the court. "... She's on her fourth husband. ... We're here because of the self-indulgent wrath of a woman scorned."
Poor Peter.
Never mind the fact that he admitted today that he had sex with his young assistant in his office, then paid her $300,000 in hopes that she'd keep their affair quiet. That's in addition to spending money he continued to give her. Oh, and did we mention the $3000 a month he spent on porn.
"That is the man who's come before this court and asked for custody of his 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter," Christie's attorney said.
Later Cook's attorney countered, "What kind of a mother wants her husband flogged in public?"
Gee, we don't know. Maybe one whose husband is a cheat and a porn hound?
