Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood runs off with 18-year-old barmaid
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, 61, is on the sauce again and has left his wife to be with an 18-year-old Russian barmaid, according to the British blabloids. His rep says the Russian teen is essentially a drinking partner Ronnie met at "a dodgy escort bar" and that the guitarist is spiraling into a very dangerous alcoholic state:
"When you're an alcoholic and your family are all telling you to stop drinking you simply find someone else to drink with. You can see how it happens, you end up pushing away the ones you love because you don't think straight.
"He met her in a dodgy escort bar at four in the morning when he was boozed out of his mind. I heard she worked there, but doing what I don't know. It was a very dodgy scenario.
'"e's fallen off the wagon big time. He's spiralling out of control and every time he returns to his drinking it's worse than before. He's not even clear-headed enough to check himself into rehab.
'"He's in a very bad way. His son Tyrone has tried to speak to him briefly, but he's not even waking up until late afternoon. He's very much spiralling.
"He's on two bottles of vodka a day."
Ronnie, who is known for his almost insatiable appetite for drugs and drink, has been in and out of rehab (mostly at others' insistence) but has had a tough time letting go of his rock star party animal image. His friends aren't much help, either. The first time he went to rehab, fellow Rolling Stone Keith Richards scrawled out a fax that read: "Rehab is for quitters."
That's a friend? Have you seen Keith Richards lately? Would anyone want to even know that guy? We'd cross the street to avoid him. (And in fact we have.)
