Alycia Lane is suing the station that fired her, saying her bosses set her up for her public meltdown that brought her national notoriety as a “witch,” a “home wrecker” and a “whore” — and put her in the top three hot searches on the Internet.  Oh, and got her canned.

It's all their fault.

The station sent her to interview Dr. Phil in about his "Relationship Rescue Retreat" TV show in 2004. Apparently they wanted her to talk about her own failed relationships to make her more popular with their female viewers. (Not an easy task.) So she asked the big Texan "Why is divorce so hard?" and blubbered like a baby for the next half hour or so.

The lawsuit claims she begged her producers not to show the segment but they did anyway, according to TMZ. And that, our dear friends, is what pushed her down that slippery, slutty, slappy slope. That's why she had to send sexy bikini shots of herself to a married man. It's what made her slap a cop.

In all honesty, we have to say we have often thought Dr. Phil just might be the devil, but in this case we think he may have had some help from the "victim."
