Uma Thurman is set to testify today against Jack Jordan, who faces up to a year in jail if convicted of stalking the actress from early 2005 until late last year. Her parents took the stand yesterday, discussing creepy e-mails and phone calls from the stalker, who has been diagnosed as schizophrenic and bipolar, according to the Post.
The e-mails describe a fantasy world in which the unemployed pool cleaner imagines he's mingled with numerous A-list celebrities, as if on some hallucinated film premier red carpet. "One of our allies," he calls Angelina Jolie. Ethan Hawke, Thurman's ex-husband, is "that charlatan."
Jordan also wrote that he was getting "direct transmissions" from television shows.
Two of Thurman's employees testified Tuesday that Jordan appeared at Thurman's front door repeatedly at odd hours, and he left her a frightening letter.
Thurman's housekeeper Dorota Janas testified that he rang the bell at the actress' Greenwich Village town house in Manhattan at least twice a day for at least 10 days last summer.
Jordan's attorney, George Vomvolakis, says his client should get psychiatric treatment, not jail time.
