Country sweetheart Miranda Lambert has been cleared of all assault charges and the woman who accused her has been arrested for making a false report to police. University of Texas student Aisha Esbay had claimed Lambert attacked her last Friday at Bootleggers in Tyler, acording to local TV news reports.
Esbay filed an assault report on Tuesday, claiming that the star shoved her while she tried to get a picture with her.
But here's the rub — Esbay's mother, Lucinda, claims she was there and saw the alleged assault:
Esbay's mother, Lucinda, said the family was at Bootleggers with a group of friends. Lucinda told KETK and Fox News East Texas that she witnessed the entire event.
"There's a bartender and bouncer that also witnessed it," said the Tyler resident. "After the initial shock of Miranda pushing her, my daughter got mad. The bouncer grabbed my daughter's arm and told Aisha that (Miranda) wasn't worth it. Miranda was cussing her the entire time and she just kept mouthing."
Lucinda also claims that Lambert called her "white trash" and told her to get out of the VIP section.
Bootleggers' officials report that Lambert was there Saturday night for a CD release party for singer Adam Hood. They said that Lambert was only there supporting a fellow musician and that she was not working.
OK, now we are confused. Which one is white trash? Which one is innocent?
