Make Holiday Purchases More Meaningful

Several organizations offer products for sale with portions of the proceeds being used to support charities and worthy causes.  Information and links have been provided for organizations that donate to worthy causes when a purchase is made.  (See a slideshow featuring  a few more of the products available from the organizations mentioned in this article.  Visit each website for complete product listings.)

RIJI Green works to end human trafficking (modern-day slavery).  Slavery is mainly caused by poverty and lack of economic opportunities.  RIJI Green provides economic opportunities for survivors and at risk people of trafficking. In the spirit of Christmas giving, RIJI Green is having a holiday campaign from November 8 to November 22, 2009.  They're donating 50% of their profits to International Justice Missions (IJM).  A purchase offers hope for people who were once oppressed and abused for profit.   rijigreen.com/
