Sometimes the simplest replacement can take a drink to the next level. In the spirit of Pomegranate month, try this delicious and easy recipe for a change of pace that will entice your guests and impress your palate.

Pom Cosmo

The Cosmopolitan, or Cosmo, is a refreshing vodka-cranberry cocktail supported by orange flavored liqueur and fresh lime juice. It is almost exclusively served in a chilled martini glass and often garnished with either lime or orange zest. It is fruity, fresh and delicious. This recipe substitutes PAMA pomegranate liqueur for the cranberry juice in the original recipe. The tart and intense flavor of the pomegranate kick the flavor profile up a notch higher for a fun change of pace.

2 parts vodka (regular or citrus infused)
1 part orange liqueur such as Cointreau
1 part Pama pomegranate liqueur
squeeze of fresh lime
lime zest for garnish

Combine ingredients over ice, shake and strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with the lime zest and enjoy!

Buy it in Brooklyn: You can find all of these ingredients at Michael Townes Wines and Spirits in Brooklyn Heights.
