Back from the Beach

July 1, 11:38 AM
by Brenda Carl, Baltimore Media Examiner

What causes the time warp when vacation week rolls around?  You count down the days and hours until vacation begins, then all of sudden it's here.  You wake up each day ready to relax as hard as you can, swim, read, relax, rinse, repeat.  Then you wake up one day and you are sitting at your work desk wondering,  where did that week go?

Great to be back behind the microphone after a week sitting next to a pool and the Atlantic Ocean....now a few odds & ends to touch on:

  • Way to Go, Scott Garceau, after 28 years doing sports at WMAR Television,  Scott announced he will no longer do the sports segment on the evening news, but will still do the things he likes to do.  Read more in The Sun:         www.baltimoresun.com
  • Ratings are out for the Spring of '08. Where does your favorite station end up this time around?  More from Radio & Records:     www.radioandrecords.com
  • Readers of the WASHINGTON POST (paper version)  will be paying 17% more for that stack of newsprint, according to my friend Dave Hughes, on his website DCRTV.com:   www.dcrtv.com/index.html

And tell me, how is your summer going so far?
