Mumiy Troll is cancelling their upcoming appearance here in San Francisco.

March 1st, after a concert at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia, Ilya Lagutenko, lead singer of Russian rock band Mumiy Troll fell ill. He has since had an appendectomy and is doing well.

Due to the illness, Mumiy Troll is cancelling its San Francisco appearance at the Independent for March 3rd and 4th. The group will also be cancelling its appearance at this year's South By Southwest music conference.

Luckily for you, you can still enjoy Mumiy Troll. April 7th their North American debut album 'Comrade Ambassador' hits the stores. Wondering what they sound like? Stay tuned for an album review. It just so happens I have an early copy!
