To celebrate their ethnic and cultural diversity, the International Student Program at Santa Ana College presented the 26th Annual International Festival last November 4 at Santa Ana College.
The event featured international student organization booths with cuisine, cultural displays, national dress, music, and cultural entertainment, including the following performances: Egyptian dance, belly dance, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Japanese karate, and traditional Vietnamese dance.
Included in this year’s festival was a booth hosted by a group of students from Denmark who served up Danish meatballs. These nine students are enrolled in the college for a four-week program through the English Language Academy. The students are from the Svendborg Business College and Technical School in the southeast of the island of Funen.
For more than a decade, the SAC English Language Academy has helped students improve their English proficiency quickly so they can participate more effectively in various academic, professional, and social environments. Academy students may also enroll in select pre-approved college classes. The college also offers an intensive English program designed for international students who plan to enter the college’s credit program
