What a way to spend a November fall day or a night in the city if not with people from around the world who gather for a special event of arts, culture and entertainment. Here are just a few international events organized by International Club of DC among many that will happen this month in Washington, D.C.:
Taste of Croatia: Discover Beautiful Croatia, "Land of a Thousand Islands," as you Experience Croatian cuisine, culture and traditions.
Discover the beauties of Croatia: mild climate, crystal clear warm sea, beautiful beaches, virgin nature, combined with the rich history and cultural heritage of the Croatian people. The evening will feature a dinner buffet feast of traditional Croatian delicacies as well as the opportunity to meet Croatians who are International Club of DC (ICDC) members while you discover a country rich in culture and history. The embassy staff will be on hand to provide information about the history and future, and tourism. You will also see a movie that offers an overview of the beautiful land, culture, and people that make up Croatia. You will also have the opportunity to tour the embassy’s rare collection of beautiful paintings and artistic pieces.

What: The Embassy of Croatia cordially request the pleasure of your company at the Croatian Embassy for a reception and delightful evening of Croatian culture. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Croatian sights, sounds, food, and wine. You will also enjoy the opportunity to meet other internationally-minded professionals in town as well as members of the Croatian-American community.

Discover Moldova: Intimate Reception at the Embassy of Moldova with Ambassador Chirtoaca.
Learn about the culture and heritage of Moldova, the embassy staff will be on hand to provide information about the history and future of the modern Moldova. You will also see a movie that offers an overview of the beautiful land, culture, and people while also having the opportunity to tour the embassy’s rare collection of beautiful paintings and artistic pieces. The evening concludes with a Moldovan buffet of delicacies.
When: Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
What: International Club of DC with the gracious support of Ambassador Chirtoaca, cordially requests the pleasure of your company for an intimate evening at the Embassy of Moldova. Your evening features traditional Moldovan delicacies prepared especially for you by the embassy chef along with the opportunity to meet other ICDC members.
Tickets: $45 for a limited time and include a presentation of traditional Moldovan food along with spirits served at the open bar.

A Taste of Korea: Korean Embassy dinner reception with musical performance and celebration of 4,000 years of Korean culture, art, and cuisine.
Your evening includes: welcome remarks and presentation about modern Korea, delightful traditional Korean musical performance, private viewing of the embassy's Korean cultural museum with a collection of traditional musical instruments and artifacts, an art exhibition showcasing modern Korean artists.
When: Friday, November 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
What: A fascinating journey to celebrate Korean culture and heritage with us as we present to you an evening of Korean, food, music, art, and culture.

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Iron Curtain and the proclamation of the Republic of Hungary, the International Club of DC together with the Embassy of Hungary and The Great British Pine Mine is pleased to present Hungary’s outstanding theater company for a delightful evening of theatre.
