Concord Jazz has announced the release of Vagabond, the new album from up-and-coming vocalist-songwriter-pianist Spencer Day. Vagabond marks Day’s first release on Concord Jazz and cements his reputation as a balladeer for the new century. The 14-track album will be available on September 8th.
Spencer Day is an artistic vagabond, a modern-day musical nomad. Born in Utah, raised in rural Arizona and currently living in Los Angeles, Day has called many places home. He has wandered amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music. He has performed many times at the Cabaret Convention held at Lincoln Center in New York City. Spencer was awarded "Discovery of The Year 2004" by the San Francisco Chronicle and the major San Francisco weekly newspaper SF Weekly named him "Best Crooner 2005". Time Out New York did a feature story on Spencer as part of their cabaret issue (October, 2005)
Here is Spencer Day in a music video..."The Movie Of Your Life." It is also the title of his independently released CD. Enjoy.
