Here is Louis Armstrong playing in a 1955 concert at Milan, Italy ..."West End Blues." The author of "Pops" the latest biography of Louis Armstrong considers  "West End Blues" one of Louis' top ten recordings. The tune was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1974.

The "West End" of the title refers to a place on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is best known for its seafood restaurants.
